Bad match, wonderful show

As many times happens, too much stress and too much tension led to an ugly match. Few shots, no goals, and many faults. The history will probably not save this match as one of the best ones, but what will remain is the show around the field: even if Genoa didn't play home, thousand voices of the Gradinata Nord overwhelmed any other... person and voice :)

Derby Fever

Less than an hour is left to the Derby. I'm getting pretty nervous about this match. I tried to relaxed myself by walking in a park close to my place and reading a bit, but it didn't work so much... To prepare myself to the match in the best way, I'm looking at the below videos. I like them. They remind me how painful and at the same time joyful was the path which led Genoa to the tonight match. All of these sensations will remain with me forever.

PS: Please note that Giovanni Porcella, who comments on the first and third video, dressed the same way ;)

We are Genoa

Yesterday it was Sunday. The day devoted to God, according to Christian religion, the day devoted to soccer for the people who love this game. And this is especially true for who lives about 1000 Km away from the city where he was born and even more true, for who loves the oldest soccer team in Italy, Genoa.
This is one of few things I miss in my new life abroad, along with the sea, friends, family and maybe a bit of focaccia ;) The sensations when going to the Stadium or the "Temple", as the supporters are used to call it, the fear before the match, the roar of the Gradinata Nord, are a mixed of joy, sufferance, rage, pain, happiness, mixed in a madly manner, which words can hardly describe.
Yesterday the match ended 1-1, but all the city is already waiting for the Derby, that is, the match against the other soccer team of the city... the roar of the Gradinata Nord will be necessary to win this new battle.

Living in a WG

The WG, that is Wohngemeinschaft, is a well known form of living, which allows to rent only a room instead of a whole flat and to spare some money. The main drawback of WG is to share same common spaces with other people, such as kitchen, toilet and bathrooms. Especially in the last two cases, if people have different habits, maybe different culture, some problems may arise. Accidentally in my WG they arose. I guess this could be an interesting topic to be also investigated in the next posts ;)

My first post

For the first post of The Blog I thought I should have written something really relevant, but once I had in front of me this blank page, all my thoughts vanished ;) I deserve something more interesting for the next ones :) Anyway, just to give an idea of the place where I live, I added a photo I made with my PDA, when visiting a flat. That´s Vienna, you got it! :)
